Goa

        A total no of 65 volunteers have been trained in Goa State by the Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services, Goa so far. The 1st batch of training for community volunteers Aapda Mitra/ Aapda Sakhi was conducted from 23^rd April 2022 to 7^th May 2022, where 16 volunteers were trained. In the second batch of training (from 10th May 2022 to 23rd May 2022), 21 volunteers and in 3^rd Batch (from 31^st May 2022 to 13^th June 2022) 28 volunteers have been trained successfully.

      During the training program, volunteers  were provided training on various subjects such as Disaster Management, Disaster Preparedness, Cyclone, Flood, Earthquake, Landslides, Tsunami, Nuclear and Chemical Emergencies, Basic Search & Rescue techniques, Community based First Aid response, CPR, Control Bleeding, Basic Fire Safety, Lifting & Moving of Patients, Rope Rescue Techniques  & Improvised Techniques.

         The team from NDMA Participated in the Award Function of Aapda Mitra/Aapda Sakhi at the Institute of Menezes Braganza Hall, Panaji, Goa on 24^th May, 2022 where in 37 Aapda Mitra/Aapda Sakhi across the state of Goa were awarded. In this Function, Dr. Pramod Sawant, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa was the Chief Guest and Dr. Puneet Kumar Goel, IAS, Chief Secretary, Govt. of Goa, Shri Sandip Jacques, IAS, Secretary (Revenue), Govt of Goa, Shri Kunal Satyarthi, IFS, Joint Secretary, NDMA, Smt. Mamu Hage, IAS, Collector (North), Shri Rajendra A, Haldankar, Divisional Officer also graced the occasion.
